Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This policy explains what Amr Hithem Abdalmalek Shams Ebrahem (“we”) collects when you use The Smart Personal Archiver, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address, provided when you sign in.
- Your documents: the files you upload, the text extracted from them, and the titles, categories, dates and notes you save.
- Questions and answers you exchange with the assistant.
- Usage records: storage, page and question counts used to apply your plan’s allowances.
- Billing details: handled by our payment provider, Paddle. We receive your plan and subscription status, never your full card number.
- Technical data: limited logs (such as timestamps and error codes) needed to run and secure the Service.
How we use it
Only to provide, secure and support the Service: storing and showing your archive, reading documents, answering your questions, applying plan limits and processing subscriptions. We do not sell personal data, show advertising, or use your documents to train AI models.
Service providers
We rely on these providers, each processing data only on our behalf:
- Google Cloud / Firebase App Hosting: website hosting.
- Convex: database for your archive records and extracted text.
- Cloudflare R2: private storage of your original files.
- WorkOS: sign-in and account authentication.
- Google Gemini API: reading documents and answering questions. Under Google’s paid API terms, this content is not used to train its models.
- Paddle: checkout, payments, invoicing and sales tax.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure the sign-in process. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Security
Each account’s archive is isolated from others and every request is checked against the signed-in account. Files are stored privately and downloaded through short-lived links issued only after that check.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Documents you delete are removed from your archive, search and assistant immediately. To have all stored copies permanently erased, or to close your account, contact us; we complete erasure within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep billing records.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, its correction or its deletion by contacting us at amrshams137@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post updates on this page and notify you of material changes.
